Mission Statement
"To give our children God's view of themselves and the world - not the world's view of God and themselves"
The ethos of our school is primarily that of family and relationship.
Our philosophical foundation sees the Bible as the source of wisdom and that man's responsibility is to establish God's rule on earth through the way he lives his life and serves his fellow man.
This philosophy is outworked in the curriculum content of the school which is a mixture of schemes of work written by our own staff and those from other Christian schools, complemented with commercially produced material.
We are committed to inclusion and accessibility for all children. We aim to deliver a high standard of education and welfare for all including children with a statement of special needs and those with English as a second language.
Aims
- To provide a high standard of education and care based on a Christian ethos and a broad and balanced Godly curriculum
- To sow truth and knowledge into childrens lives, so that our children receive a Christian world view
- To enable our children to grow and develop happily and with self esteem that comes with the knowledge of who they are and knowing right from wrong
- "They that know their God shall be strong and do exploits" - to know God, becoming more like Him through His word and creation
- To emphasise the importance of God's love for family (their own, the school and beyond)
Bridge Schools Inspectorate (BSI)
Potters House School is also now registered with the Bridge Schools Inspectorate.
Taken from the BSI website:
"The Bridge Schools Inspectorate has approval from the Secretary of State for Education and began its work in September 2008 to inspect schools belonging to the Christian Schools' Trust and the Association of Muslim Schools throughout England.
BSI provides an opportunity for cooperation between faith groups to establish a specialist faith schools inspectorate which respects their distinctive ethos".

Fees
As a non-profit making organisation we have set fees for the primary school which at present are £3720 per annum, which can be paid in any way acceptable to us both. For example, over 12 months the fees are £310. We do give a 10% reduction for siblings, and in the reception, depending on your childs birthdate, half the fees are paid by the FEEE (Free Early Education Entitlement). We realise however, that not everyone is able to pay this amount and this is not a barrier to enrolling your child / children in the school. There are many ways to 'pay'. Some parents are able to help in the school or nursery on a regular basis, this can be discussed with us and we are sure that we will find a way through the situation.
As part of our setup we can also offer free places in times of real need. Our door is always open and in Luke's gospel Jesus says "give and it shall be given to you..." Luke 6 v.38ff
